Virtual toolkit “Video Science” coming soon to iPad
It’s all systems go at Science House as we’re working towards launching an iPad edition of Video Science, our virtual toolkit of videos for science teachers.. The app will contain over 70 HD videos of science experiments, manipulative models, book reviews and recommended items for your classroom. The videos include commentary and concept notes from Dan Menelly, Science Education Advisor to Science House and the creator of the series, about teaching strategies and tactical methods of science instruction for teachers at the primary and secondary levels.
The app, made by Jesse Tayler, CEO of Object Enterprises, a software company specializing in iPhone and iPad, with design from Ramon Peralta and produced by Science House is designed to be user interactive and includes the ability to search for videos by curriculum categories, bookmark your favorites to watch again, click to buy materials for the experiments and “ask Dan” to share your feedback, receive answers to any questions you have about the experiments and let us know how the experiments work for you.
We’re continuing to produce more segments each week at Science House which are automatically added to the app as they become available. The Video Science app is also available on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
